HMRI Concussion Education Session with Rugby AU

Following the success of HMRI’s sports concussion seminar earlier this year, we’re delighted to host a second sports concussion education session with a special guest from Rugby Australia.

This session will be focused on Rugby Union, one of the world’s most popular team sports.

Led by HMRI sports concussion researcher Associate Professor Andrew Gardner and Rugby Australia’s Chief Medical Officer Dr Warren McDonald, this education session will provide attendees with actionable information to help protect the health of Rugby Union players across all age divisions.

The education session will include:

• An overview of the Rugby Australia concussion policy and guidelines including the Blue Card initiative – an initiative that removes players displaying signs of concussion from play and triggers off-field processes;

• Game day concussion identification and management;

• Insights into the new research in the field of sports concussion.

This education session is a must-see for Rugby Union players from all competition levels, their clubs, coaches and families.
