It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we advise the Hunter Rugby family that NRURA member and Association Secretary, Dave Wallace lost his brave and determined battle with cancer on Saturday night.
Our sincere and immediate thoughts and sympathies go to Susan, Michael, Emily and the direct and extended family.
Dave has been an enormous support and a dedicated resource for NRURA since he became involved in rugby refereeing and his contribution and commitment will be missed by all.
He did this while contending with medical interventions and treatments to beat melanoma and never complained or veered from getting on with life. It is terribly unfortunate to lose Dave in this way.
Please take a moment to remember Dave. We will let you know the details of the funeral service once they are known.
