Response to Newcastle Herald article of today (Tues 11 Oct 2016)

We refer to a Newcastle Herald article released at 12.30pm today (11 October 2016) that has been brought to the NHRU’s attention by some of our members.

The NHRU’s position and comment in regards to this article includes: –

  1. There is no investigation of either the Hamilton Hawks or their player Bryce Madden currently being undertaken by either the NHRU PPS Auditor, the NHRU Fixtures Committee or the NHRU Board;

  2. We confirm that we have received an email correspondence from the NHRU Member Club, Wanderers RFC on 5 October 2016;

  3. This email correspondence, as per usual operating procedures, will be tabled in due course during the ‘correspondence received’ section of the next possible Board Meeting of the NHRU;

  4. The next NHRU Board Meeting is later this month as the normal ‘every second Monday of a month Board Meeting’ was rescheduled late last week due to both Director and Staff leave currently being undertaken post the recently completed 2016 Final Series.

The NHRU has no further comment and is looking forward to hosting the NRC 2016 Semi-Final between NSW Country Eagles v Melbourne Rising this Saturday 15 October 2016 at No.2 Sportsground (Gates open from 11.30am).
