Rugby News – RAMS DIVISIONAL FINAL SERIES – Sat 13 August 2016 (Part 1 of 2)

General Manager’s Comments:

This weekend sees Week 2 of the 2016 RAMS DIVISIONAL FINAL SERIES being hosted at No.2 Sportsground.

Easts earned themselves a Grand Final appearance (next weekend) in the President’s Cup after their victory over Cooks Hill in the Major Semi last weekend. Cooks Hill also earned themselves a Grand Final appearance (next weekend) in Patron’s Shield after their victory over East Maitland in the Major Semi last weekend.

Easts’ Grand Final opponent in the President’s Cup will come from this weekend’s Preliminary Final between Cooks Hill v Muswellbrook. Cooks Hill’s Grand Final opponent in the Patron’s Shield will come from this weekend’s Preliminary Final between East Maitland v Pokolbin.

The Divisional Final Series sees four (4) Specsavers referees from the Newcastle Rugby Union Referees Association (NRURA) officiate each finals game via the quartet of – Referee, two (2) Assistant Referees and the No.4 Official. Injury time is also played during Finals Series fixtures.
